Community Guidelines
1. Introduction
These Community Guidelines establish the standards of behavior for all OZmate users. They supplement the Terms of Service and apply to all content and interactions, including communities, direct messages, workplace-list comments, map posts, and user profiles.
Our goal is to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive space for everyone in the Australian working holiday, study abroad, and travel community.
2. Respectful Communication
- Treat all users with courtesy and respect, regardless of background, nationality, or experience.
- Constructive disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not.
- Use inclusive language considerate of diverse perspectives.
- Many users communicate in a second language. Be patient and understanding.
3. Prohibited Content
3.1 Hate Speech — Content promoting violence or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
3.2 Harassment and Bullying — Targeted intimidation, threats, persistent unwanted contact, or stalking.
3.3 Violence and Threats — Content threatening, encouraging, or glorifying violence or physical harm.
3.4 Sexual Content — Sexually explicit material, pornography, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
3.5 Illegal Content — Content promoting or facilitating illegal activities.
3.6 Graphic Violence — Excessively graphic depictions of violence or injury.
3.7 Health and Safety Misinformation — Deliberately false information that could cause real-world harm.
4. Workplace Listings and Workplace Comment Rules
- Post from your own experience: Share only what you personally experienced or directly verified. False, impersonated, duplicate, irrelevant, or spam submissions are prohibited.
- Use structured fields accurately: Fill in second visa, hourly wage, payroll, accommodation, and job-type fields as accurately as you can.
- No definitive legal conclusions: You may share factual experiences, but do not state legal conclusions as if a court or authority has decided them.
- No personal information or personal names: Do not post names, contact details, addresses, social accounts, face photos, shifts, or other identifying details of owners, managers, workers, coworkers, applicants, or other people.
- Workplace comment campaign: A comment may become eligible for the initial-release campaign only after operator validity review. After approval, the same OZmate account can use the workplace list with no expiration after a future paid launch. False, duplicate, defamatory, irrelevant, or personal-information-containing posts may be excluded or revoked.
- Correction, removal, and reporting: If workplace information or comments are inaccurate, harmful, or rights-infringing, use the in-app report flow or contact support@rootpilotai.com.
5. Spam and Manipulation
- No repetitive, irrelevant, or unsolicited content
- No automated tools or bots
- No artificial engagement through fake accounts
- No misleading content solely to drive external traffic
6. Personal Information Protection
- Do not share others' personal information without explicit consent.
- Be cautious sharing your own personal information publicly.
- Report any unauthorized sharing of personal information immediately.
7. Reporting
Use the in-app report button on posts, comments, and profiles. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes appropriate action. Reporter identity is not disclosed to the reported user.
False reports: Knowingly false or malicious reports are themselves a violation.
8. Enforcement and Consequences
| Level | Action | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Warning | Minor first-time violations |
| 2 | Content restriction | Repeated minor violations |
| 3 | Temporary suspension | Serious violations, ignored warnings |
| 4 | Permanent ban | Severe violations (threats, illegal content) |
For severe violations endangering user safety, we may proceed directly to a permanent ban without prior warnings.
9. Appeals
Send an appeal to support@rootpilotai.com with your account details and reasoning. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days and the outcome is communicated via email.
10. Changes
We may update these Guidelines to reflect community needs and legal requirements. Material changes are announced in the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
